Diverse Anime is a personal project... Yes, what you just read is correct, Diverse Anime is no evil corporation hoping over to take over the internet. I have started this project many times however I plan to finish it this time.
The past Diverse Anime projects... This isn't the first site I have created to stream high quality anime, I have previously released around 2 versions summer of 2007. These were never finished, although had a few animes streaming such as Elfen Lied, Lucky Star, Bleach, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and a couple others. This project title was Krystal Anime, and I had already many viewers around the world visiting the test site.
Why I started this project... I started this project because I saw all these horrible anime streaming sites. I first got into anime and visited anime6.org watching Bleach. The quality was horrible, watching it on a tiny little window on a 1680x1050 resolution. However, I continued to watch off this site but soon I figured out I could download the anime. Look at almost all streaming sites today, all you see is horrible quality even though they claim to have higher quality files. Why do they say this? Well it's because they want your money. Honestly, they lower quality just so they can upload more to save space and money, and hope to get more viewers. Okay so you think the quality is bad enough? Well now they have advertisements, and they improve the video a tiny bit better but the audio gets worse! They even to claim they offer h264 files! H264 files are suppose to be higher quality, so why is it still bad? Heres the answer, it isn't h264 because they reconvert while lowering the quality.
I have a goal in mind... This project is one I plan to finish. My goal is to provide higher quality anime, not only in video but audio too! Since this site is starting up, we may not have the selection but we definitaly have the quality! In a few months we will have a selection, community, neat features other streaming sites do not have. I want to create a community where everybody communicates with one another, and not to make a myspace type interface.
How our quaity is superior... You're asking now how our quality is superior. Well the truth is we still don't upload h264 files. We convert those h264 files so technically the quality is pretty much the same. We don't worry about space but more of the quality of our anime. Each anime is around 500mb big. Compared to other sites this would be like 4-5 anime episodes. Well guess what, 4-5 episodes of horrible quality does not compare to 1 episode of high quality. Sure other people may call us crazy for wasting space and bandwidth, but like I said we don't care about that. Space and bandwidth aren't my issues.
Well I don't know what else to write, or explain more. I will probably add more to this later...
Explaining Features:
- Desktop Dimmer
Desktop dimmer is a neat feature we offer incase you do not want to fullscreen the window. After 20 seconds of idle time, your desktop will start to fade up to 90% black. These settings can be modified in the preferences. If you don't know how to change it please visit our support page.
- High Quality Video & Audio;
How do we do it? Well we technically don't upload h264 files. We convert our h264 files into avi, while keeping subtitle styles and the quality. The h264 files are around 170mb and once we convert them it ends up around 500mb.
- Subtitles and no Dubs
We offer japanese versions only, we think it's more natural. It's like watching an american cartoon with japanese dubs. Would that make any sense?
- Request an Anime Series
We don't upload what we want, but we ask you what you want. We download it for you in high quality, convert it, and upload it. We take requests from previous airing series, old series, completed series, any type of series!
- No Advertisements before, during, or after the anime!
Honestly, who likes these advertisements? Well Diverse Anime doesn't stream any advertisements before, during, or after the anime.
- Frequently Updated Support Page
If you have any questions, most of them should be answered in our support page. Once it's asked on the forums we will most likely add it to our support page. If one person has a question then most likely another will.
